今天看到一个美国官方网站也开始以RSS方式来提供信息服务，说明RSS在美国已经是非常普遍的一种网络应用模式。RSS所表现出来的个性化、及时性和方便性已经得到越来越多人员的认可。提供这一服务的美国官方网站是http://www.fema.gov[1]，其RSS相关页面是http://www.fema.gov/help/rss.shtm[2]。

RSS-generated click-throughs totalled 5.9m pageviews in March, representing a 39% increase from February's 4.3 million, the press release said, noting that the Washington and Business feeds were most popular.The Times offers a variety of RSS feeds[3] - one of the first major newspapers to do so. They publish excerpted RSS feeds, so users have to click through to view the whole story.It's interesting to look at how the RSS click-throughs for March 2005 compares to the total traffic for that month.
